August Club Tour of Civil War home
Saturday, August 9
Rich and Jodie Fielder have graciously offered to open their home for a tour. Initially built before
the Civil War, they have preserved the log cabin and un-modernized the addition to blend.
The home was featured in Country Sampler magazine with thirteen pages of pictures.

October 4. Gardner, KS: Sixth Annual Pre-War Car Show 2025. Historic Turner Barn, 19805 S. Moonlight Road, 66030. Vehicles manufactured in 1942 or older (no hot rods). Motorcycles welcome. Come see cars, trucks, military vehicles and motorcycles; this is the only show of its type in the area. It is a must-see event if you want to see history you won’t see anywhere else. September 13. Turkey Creek Car & motorcycle Show, 5740 Merriam Drive, 66202. 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Pre-registration ($25) includes a dash plaque, t-shirt and car show calendar. Spectators are free. Entry of day of event $35; subject to availability. More than 60 awards will be presented; the grand prize drawing is a $4,000 gift certificate. September 14. Shawnee, KS: Wheels & Dreams Car, Truck & Bike Show. Enter from the gates by Shawnee Town 1929 Museum at 11600 Johnson Drive, 66203. 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The museum will not be open for tours. Donations accepted and proceeds benefit the educational programs. Live music, food trucks, vendors and sponsor areas. Over 300 cars show each year.
